ANTECEDENTES
Los gastos provocados por la pérdida y la falta de
control sobre la cadena de frío en hospitales de vacunas y medicamentos
aumentan y representan un coste elevado para los sistemas públicos.
En este sentido, las Autoridades Sanitarias tienen una
grave responsabilidad en mantener y aplicar medidas para que se respete y no se
rompa la cadena de frío en los productos médicos que lo requieran, retirando
del mercado y los centros aquellos que puedan estar fuera de las condiciones
óptimas de empleo. Pero a través de métodos muy rudimentarios aún que impiden
la eficiencia y la proactividad del sistema para aplicar el control antes de
las pérdidas.
El proyecto GESTMED
propone investigar sobre tecnologías de localización y sensores, para el
desarrollo de una plataforma de monitorización, control y compra de vacunas y
medicamentos dentro de las dependencias de las instituciones hospitalarias y de
Salud, con el fin de asegurar la monitorización de pacientes.
GESTMED propone
desarrollar una serie de medidas innovadoras para:
- El control del stock y estado de vacunas.
- Gestión de recursos
humanos del hospital.
- Localización de pacientes.
- Localización de pacientes.
OBJETIVOS DEL PROYECTO
Se establecen
como objetivos del proyecto GestMed los siguientes:
- Desarrollo de un módulo de monitorización y control del estado de vacunas y medicamentos: el módulo estará compuesto de una red de sensores inalámbricas que proporcionaran al sistemas los parámetros de calidad que se compararan con los umbrales de control definidos por los sistemas sanitarios, pudiendo identificar en tiempo real cualquier eventualidad y cambio de estado que se produzca en los productos.
- Desarrollo de un módulo de identificación de vacunas y medicamentos: de manera que el personal farmacéutico del hospital pueda localizar in situ, cualquiera de los productos disponibles, y saber en todo momento el stock con el que cuenta el hospital.
- Integración de los módulos de monitorización, control e identificación con un módulo de gestión y compras desde el cual se podrá monitorizar tanto la información de calidad, como de tipo y cantidad de medicamentos. Este módulo también permitirá ordenar compras automáticamente en base al stock y necesidades del hospital.
